North Shore Dietetic Services
North Shore Dietetic Services is a Sydney based consultancy established in 1990. Primarily working in the aged care sector we provide dietetic and nutrition services, menu development, food safety training, and development of HACCP based food safety programs. We assist sites to prepare for accreditation, spot visits and audits in the Nutrition and Hydration Standard. We are also experienced in providing nutrition and dietetic interventions to assist sites with non-compliance issues.
Currently we provide services to many aged care providers in Sydney including Thompson Health Care, Columbia, Anglican Retirement Village, Amity and Catholic Health Care and smaller facilities.
Principals
Christine Borthwick B.Sc., Dip. Nutrition and Dietetics (Sydney), Accredited Practising Dietitian.
Christine is a Dietitian and Nutritionist with over 30 years experience including 20 years in the areas of gerontology and rehabilitation. She has a B.Sc. majoring in microbiology and biochemistry and has maintained an active involvement in food safety issues throughout her career.
Andrew Borthwick B.Ec. (Hons) Dip. Business (Quality Auditing).
Andrew is a lead auditor under ISO 9001 (the international quality standard) and has training and experience in preparation of food safety programs and HACCP as well as extensive experience in managing strategic and corporate planning and risk analysis.
While the principals work jointly in food safety and training, Christine is responsible for all clinical assessments and recommendations.
